Approved Mayor Frey’s appointment of Interim Director of Community Planning & Economic Development, Erik Hansen, to Director of CPED.

Approved two new ordinances:

• A new body art ordinance was passed to allow more temporary tattoo and piercing events per year
• A pedicab ordinance was passed to allow for larger trailers to accommodate more passengers

Approved Affordable Trust Fund award recommendations, as well as a tax credit for a new affordable housing project downtown.

During public comment, several members of the public spoke in favor of Erik Hansen’s appointment while several others spoke about a homeless encampment in Phillips, Camp Nenookaasi, and the need for City support in the form of port-a-potties and housing placement. Erik Hansen stated in response that Regulatory Services planned to deliver port-a-potties to the camp the following morning.
