Committee of the Whole
Minneapolis City CouncilRemote
The committee received a report and presentation on municipal policies and processes relating to special assessments, including street or sidewalk improvements and tree removal.
Council members asked several questions about alternative ways to structure these assessments to make them more equitable for residents. It appeared from the materials presented that some of the assessments fall disproportionately on lower-income communities.
