The committee:

  • Approved a resolution on the 26-27 budget, including saving the Office of Latine Achievement, and sent it to the full board. The OLA was slated to experience cuts this coming year, but teachers, students, and parents testified in recent weeks on how valuable the program was.
  • The budget for this coming year will total $792 million for school and department operations.
