One speaker worked in the Office of Disability stated that she was fired due to abuses by her supervisor. Says her dream job was taken from her and this was devastating.
A number of items were referred to committees just before Public Comment
The Council voted to Appoint the following people to the Tenants Rights Commission: Doneisia Davis, Jamie Junior, Teresa Sanders, and Sherrie Smith.
The Mayor’s office also appointed Mary Cox and Josephina Ramon to the Tenants Rights Commission. There are 3 more seats that will be appointed by the Mayor.
PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDING COMMITTEE. Much discussion on the amount of time lapse between emergency demolition contracts coming before council. It was explained that the recent group of late contracts was as a result of a process clean up in the department
Items 17.1 & 17.2 are bring bright back for reconsideration. Council President stated that information was received that will change her vote. Line items 17.1 & 17.2 are now APPROVED

Contact from the Internal Operations Standing Committee was APPROVED
Line item 21.1 was pulled from Referrals to New Business and APPROVED
Resolution in Support of the Safer Michigan Act by Council Member Durhal was APPROVED
Resolution to honor Judge Deborah Thomas was walked on and APPROVED. End of 🚶🏽♀️ WALK ON ITEMS 🚶🏽♀️
