Council Member Andrea Jenkins introduced a notice to reconsider the recently passed rideshare driver pay ordinance going into effect on May 1.

• Some council members noted they were surprised by this action, while others noted they felt the implementation and discussion with state partners was happening in secret.
• No vote was taken, and no proposed policy changes were brought forward.
• The item will allow for further discussion at a future full council meeting, with the soonest being April 11.

Received Jacob Frey’s nomination of Timothy Sexton, who currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner for Sustainability, Planning and Program Management at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, to serve as the city’s new Public Works Director. The committee referred the nomination to the Climate and Infrastructure Committee for setting a public hearing.
